Christmas with Matalan

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Matalan

Now that the festive season is in full swing (OK, won’t mention how many mince pies I’ve eaten so far..), it’s time to talk gift guides.

To kick things off, I’m working with Matalan to showcase some of the bits from their mega range of Christmas offerings they have this year. There’s rather a lot to look at, so think of this as a handy round-up of sorts! There really is something for everyone this year, which brings me onto the topic of the humble Christmas box.

I really like the idea of a Christmas box – whether filled with pampering treats, hot chocolate, pyjamas and a film for the night before, or as a thoughtfully selected edit for the day itself.

(Perhaps that’s just the minimalist mindset that I’m trying so desperately to adopt – buying a house with as small a number of possessions as possible seems a liiiittle less stressful.. but I digress.)

For those less inclined to do things by halves, the Alphabet Christmas Sacks can hold a small mountain of presents with ease.. and look rather pretty doing so, too.

If you’re big on a monogram – and let’s face it, who isn’t?- there’s lots to choose from (you know you’re spoiled for choice when there’s an entire section for Alphabet Gifts). I love the velvet Alphabet Make-Up Bags for housing all the daily beauty essentials, and the glasses, mugs and coasters make great picks for everyone.

There are plenty of type-centric gifts on offer; my favourites are the 2018 Diary and Things to Do Notebook (which is basically four miniature notepads in one.. handy for those who ) – and any rose gold obsessives are sure to love the Luggage Set which is perfect for enabling any travel plans once the new year blues kick in..

For the bathtime aficionados out there (welcome to the club), the Mojito Bath Fizzers make for a great stocking filler, and smell good enough to eat (or drink!) – the Prosecco & Pink Fizz ‘flavours’ sound just as delicious, and they all come in bigger sets too.

As for wrapping all these lovely bits, you can go with a box – I went with star print one – but there are so many great wrapping sets that it would be a shame to not give them a well-deserved nod. I’m a sucker for a pretty pattern, and my favourites are in the stag print bundle – but I have my eyes on the Nutcracker set and this lovely navy and gold offering too! The trio of glitter tapes are a welcome addition to my stationery stash, and they’re almost too pretty to use!

I have a sudden urge to wrap a million presents for some reason.. weird. Gingerbread latte, anyone?

What do you think of my Matalan picks?
